After receiving a classical art education, I continued to study the works of
European and American Impressionists. Their inventiveness has been a great
source of inspiration for me. I find joy in creating artworks which reach back
for continuity and forward for a new vision.
My subject matter is eclectic, ranging from landscape and still life to the
human condition. I concentrate on mood and feeling and try to touch the
viewer esthetically and emotionally. My work has unique storytelling
characteristics which I hope enables viewers to imagine a world of magic
and mystery.
My work includes many subjects, styles and media, yet whatever my
paintings depict ( a British Columbia waterway, an Italian vista or a mystical
vision of the mind ) there is a link between them. This is fluid art containing
both history and expectation.
My art is for the eye, the mind and the spirit.
