If, when looking at my paintings, you feel a sense of suspense, of the moment waiting, perhaps of impending collapse and perhaps of a longing for peace and rest from stress and oppression then I think I will have succeeded in my efforts.
The world is changing and many old ways of seeing and believing are falling, as communism has fallen, and are making way for a new and hopefully better world for all.
I try to paint that which is important and to do this I must trust my inner voice. The visions and impressions that form in my mind and that I then apply to the canvas are my truth. I hope that you will find some of your truth also in my paintings.
