Just as I understand life as being a journey and not a destination, so do I consider my paintings. The act of creating might end, however the captured moment simply becomes the beginning of a journey into a world of infinite possibilities.
As an eclectic, the subject matter for my paintings varies. I rebel against painting in a particular manner at all times, since my experiences which eventually culminate into what I decide to paint and share are constantly becoming, rather than static. And like a peculiar handwriting, the link in most of my painting is the use of strong colors and bold imagery to convey emotion and passion. Often revealing the eclipsing beauty of my country Ghana and the peculiarities of its people.
The moments captured in my paintings are often essentially for the passive and inattentive observer to be revisited and absorbed in detail and subsequently provide an incline into a fair measure of understanding of that now, and wherever else that might lead the viewer.
Life is to be enjoyed, as it is so transient. I paint to fulfil an inner edge, and to share my experiences in celebrating life for yesterday, today and the beyond.
