The Art Forum 1. In GeneralThe Art Opening area is the heart of the Millennium Art Gallery. Here is where featured artists, their guests, members and the general public can view new artworks, leave Comments, Post to Art Forums, download Art Screen Savers, Check out the Art Calendar for Upcoming events and activate Go Virtual for chat communicating with other Members and artists. We invite you to explore and experiment with the Millennium site. Nothing you do will cause any problems. You cannot hurt the site. Any actions that you undertake on the site are all reversible by simply clicking on your browser's back button. Even if you place an order you have three days to e-mail us that you have changed your mind. So feel free to push all the buttons and experiment with the gallery system. Have fun. Consider the Millennium site to be your site. It is truly a wonderful and remarkable site to surf and spend time in. Please come back as often as you can and tell your friends about it. If you like what we are doing here then consider becoming a registered member.
2. Art Openings SchedulingCurrently we are scheduling a new Art Opening Exhibition every two weeks. These are group shows of 5 artists drawn from the general database of Millennium artists. We try and arrange for Opening artists to be available for conversation in the Millennium Virtual Art Opening area on the first Saturday of their scheduled opening, from 11am till 3pm PST.
3. The Artist' PortfoliosThe featured artists in the Art Opening area are represented by their Head-Shot Icons. If you click on an artist’s Icon you will be transported to their personal Portfolio-Gallery. To view an index of all Artists represented at Millennium and links to their Portfolio click on the Art Index" button on the brown navigation bar on the left of your screen. At their personal Portfolio your will find a “Thumbnail Index” of all their artworks, “Artists Statement” and “Biography” pages, a personal “Comment Book”, where you can leave your review or thoughts concerning their artworks, click-on thumb-nail images which will expand into a detailed information window and an “Online Shopping Cart” system which will allow you to purchase their original artworks and affordable fine art reproductions of their artworks (at various sizes). You will also have the opportunity to express interest and perhaps make a deal on an original work of art that you are interested in by clicking on the “Make an Offer” button which is displayed on the same page as each artworks blow-up image. To return to the Art Opening area when you are finished visiting an artist’s gallery, just click on the always-visible Art Opening button on the top left of your screen.
4. The Comment BookThe Comment Book at the Art Opening is for guests, members and artists to leave their thoughts, quotes, insights and reviews. When you click on the Art Opening - Comment Book button you will be able to scroll through many interesting and informative comments left by past guests. To leave your own comment, just click on Comments, and then when the window opens, click on Add a Comment. Write out your comment in the space provided and click Submit. At that point you will be given a chance to review, make corrections or discontinue the posting if you chose. When satisfied that what you had wanted to say is right, then click on the final Submit button and it will be posted to the Comment Book.
5. The Screen SaverPlease click on the Screen Saver button, fill in your name and e-mail address and click on submit. When we receive your request we will e-mail you a wonderful screen saver, which will contain a work of art from each of the current featured artists. A new Art Screen Saver is made up for each Art Opening. You are welcome to pick a new one up every 2 weeks if you like.
6. The Go Virtual Chat ModuleThe Go Virtual Chat Module is fun and easy to operate. Click the "Go Virtual" button on the brown Navigation bar on the left of your screen and follow the simple logon instructions.
7. The Art CalendarFive new artists and their artworks are featured every two weeks. Clicking on the Upcoming Art Openings navigation button will open an exhibition calendar. If you click on the date of any particular event you will be able to view details about the artists and their artworks.
8. The Cream WebzineOur online webzine is where you will be able to see and hear about all the arts and community related activities sponsored by the Millennium Art Gallery. You will also be able to link through to Arts Journals and Newspapers from around the world to learn about the various arts and cultural subjects of the day. If you have an interesting article, poem, picture or story that you would like to share then we would be very interested in hearing about it. Submissions from members and guests are always welcome.
9. The Art ForumThe Art Forum is where you can publish your thoughts and opinions on just about anything to do with creativity or your experience of it. If there is something you want to say or someone elses postings that you want to respond to this is a perfect place to do it. To start a new message click on Post and write or paste-in what you have to say. To respond to someone elses message just hit the reply button, remove their text, or not, and leave your response.
