Modern technology and scientific discoveries are among the most admired fruits of industrialization and they are prototypically ortho-modern. People used to be largely self-sufficient, but with the development of mass communication and the production of art the situation changed less to an aesthetic way of life then to a knowledge economy. Industrialism in art is the result of mass adoption of a single moral rather than the spectrum belonging to a civilization of diversity. Art is dangerous kept under control, to protect the body politic from discord, self-indulgence and desire. It must be made of special art materials..? It must be precious and useless..? Industrialism, a phenomenon of the early nineteenth century, became a co-extension of "predeterminist" philosophy. Industrialism was the next step whereby individuals would be afforded the opportunity to amass large amounts of wealth, provided they owned the means of production. Competition for jobs and the sale of one's own work established conditions whereby the artist could not help but feel a sense of rivalry between oneself and his/her fellow artist. Indeed, a different kind of "individualism" was beginning to develop as well a different kind of artist. It was every person for their self and in that along with new mediums, the large mass of artists broke into their respective genres. Individualist philosophy, under the mask of Industrialism, left those who would not conform to its back-breaking pace as victims in its path, the starving artist. Art represents ideas and visions in a tangible way (sharing). Art is often heavily symbolic and strongly influenced by social conditions related to religion, politics and cultural concerns or inquiries. Still I see the art industry making strides through what small businesses have accomplished to form our capitalist world. Definition of Industrialism: [n] an economic system built on large industries rather than on agriculture or craftsmanship. Where in commercialism specialist develop a full knowledge and understanding of your business by conducting a needs assessment and analyzing the complete business or potential business idea. In the artists way, it seems more primitive where the support for emerging artists has diminished because there is more profits to be made from professionals employed in their field, non-profit or for (profit). Businesses or Individuals starting a business, or in early growth phase of business have available systems in place, but banks do not make grants. Your eligibility for small business loans are easier attained then any grant. To be eligible for grants through an arts institution or foundation you must comparatively already be operating a business. You must be a professional who has received the recognition of his/her peers through public presentation of work in a professional context and maintained an independent professional practice for at least three years if not more. Focusing on exhibition planning and implementation, and gallery/museum theory and methodology are only some crucial areas of study one must be aware of. Definition of Art: [n] in poetry it experiments with language to try to find a way that the mood of a pictured experience is caught well. Art's main interest are the experience caused by reality, whatever an experience may be. It tries with all kinds of means to evoke those derived moods. The moods 'love', 'respect' and 'creativity' and an emphasis on ‘community' in both business and art. Particular ideologies within each tradition can be enriched through cross-fertilization. Take the ready learned information and techniques in business and apply them to the individual artist. When established artists become their own institution and apply a merging mentorship with others, can their sharing build a strong corporation to apply further the moral or the meaning to the world? |
