Overview

Tender Sculpture

Born in Morocco, Caroline studied art history, drawing, and sculpture at the École du Louvre. After working as a graphic designer in communications agencies and raising her three children, she devoted herself fully to sculpture.

Caroline works with red, white, or black chamotte clay, shaping unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. Some of her sculptures are cast in limited edition bronzes. Her works are marked by a deep sense of interiority and convey a powerful expressive energy. Her favorite subjects include serene, fulfilled women, couples, and motherhood. She creates faces, busts, and bodies with generous forms, as well as large stylized, hieratic mask-like faces.

Caroline draws inspiration from Cycladic art, Greco-Buddhist sculpture from Gandhara, African statuary, as well as from modern masters such as Henri Laurens, Henry Moore, Aristide Maillol, and Antoniucci Volti.

She works both from her home studio in Neuilly and in a shared public studio in Meudon.

Caroline exhibits her work in several galleries across France and Switzerland, including at the Millennium
