An independent photographer and artist, Olivier Christinat has developed a distinctive body of work combining a documentary perspective with poetic exploration. He was commissioned by Expo.02 for the pavilion Le Premier Regard, has been teaching at CFP Arts in Geneva since 2003, and in 2004 was selected among the artists of Photo-Suisse, an international exhibition accompanied by a documentary film and a world tour.
Winner of the Rado Star Prize (2013) and the Alfred Latour Prize (2021), he is also the author of several artist’s books. In 2025, he created a large-scale installation for the 750th anniversary of Lausanne Cathedral and took part the same year in the Rencontres d’Arles.
