Daniel Angeli discovered photography at the Dalmas agency in Paris, the world's first photojournalism agency. Angeli took his first steps there in 1959. He was fifteen at the time. Dalmas sent him on assignment to cover Parisian parties and then to look after its branch office at Orly airport, where he photographed stars from all over the world arriving in the French capital. In 1968, he set up the Angeli agency and became a master of "people" photos, forging close ties with the celebrities of the day, from Aristotle Onassis to Elizabeth Taylor and John Lennon. He became a fixture wherever kings and queens, princes and princesses, French and international stars were to be found. Today, his enthusiasm and passion remain intact, giving his photos, some of which have become legendary, an undeniable authenticity.
